Comments & Questions:
1. Can you make the "News Flash Window" stay on longer...?
2. Did any officials ever ask for any DNA samples of Heather...such as her hair, dental, etc? Is there any available incase she might be in a hospital, etc., unable to speak for herself. I heard of one young man that was in a hospital for months and months because he had been in a coma and didn’t wake up for months and months after being in an accident.
3. We know it has been about two years now since last seeing Heather and since teenagers change so fast in growing up, has anyone thought about an "Age Enhancement Picture"...?
4. Can you create a neutral number for Heather to call or anyone else with information that might want to do it ANONYMOUSLY and who might have information or do you know of any ALREADY established neutral numbers that will pass on anonymous information?
5. We know teenagers change so fast in many ways, but did Heather like to, (whether allowed or not) wear make up, wear her hair long, medium, or short, wear fingernail polish (color), clothing style (casual-dressy-preppy-retro-etc.), read books, magazines (type), go to library, ever use a library computer, etc.
6. Another question about telephone numbers. I know AT&T has 1-800-NUMBER that a person can call only one-way and to the 1-800- number only which will ring at the home phone only or any other number assigned to it. Would it be a consideration to establish a 1-800 number with perhaps an answering machine attached to it and advertise it nationwide? Even though I know Missing and Exploited Children have one established…perhaps there are friends and acquaintances that Heather has met since she has been gone that don’t want to tell her whereabouts with her knowledge that they are doing it. Perhaps they don’t even know where she’s from because she’s keeping it private. I don’t know how expensive this can be, establishing a 1-800 Number today.
7. I know this is very personal but if Heather had a boyfriend (even if they broke up) has anyone spoke with him about her to see if she might have contacted him these pass two years…even if it was only one time?
8. Do newspapers run ads (free of charge) for missing children to read them (especially in the comic area) so they (the teenager) can anonymously contact the newspaper (with identifying information) to establish that it is actually them, so the newspaper can pass on any message to family and law enforcement…?
It is FEAR that causes children that have run away or who might have even left willing with someone, or been influences in running away...to keep them from letting there whereabouts be known. Perhaps they are ashamed as well …and guilt and shame can certainly cause a child/teenager to hideout for a long time. I’ve known of teenagers who have made contact after turning 18 years old because of fear of getting in trouble while still a minor.
